Wintertime in Villa Perla Piemonte

The area of costigliole d'asti and its perks during WINTER

Piemonte is a beautiful region in Italy known for its stunning landscapes, rich history, and delicious cuisine. It’s proximity to the Alps, the italian lakes and the seaside are a big bonus for our visitors.

If you’re staying around Villa Perla in Piemonte, you’ll have plenty of activities and places to explore during wintertime as well! We promise that celebrating Christmas time or New Year with family and/or friends will be a nice experience for everybody in your company!

What do you think about our own favorite winter activities:

  1. Skiing for a day (with a part of) your company in Monterosa or under the Matterhorn in Breuil-Cervinia (2 hours driving). When the weather is nice you can easily plan a trip with skiers and non-skiers and meet for lunch in one of the restaurants nearby the slopes. Prato Nevoso is a smaller ski area and is only one hour away and very family friendly but less snow secure… Send us a message if you would like to know where you need to be exactly and we will guide you!
  2. Visiting Milano and/or Lake Como – also 2 hours driving,
  3. Truffle Hunting: Piemonte is renowned for its truffles, especially the white truffle. Consider joining a truffle hunting excursion with one of the local truffle hunters and their dogs to learn about and experience this unique culinary treasure. This is an activity you can do with the entire family and a lovely couple of hours out in the fresh air! You can do this on different places and choose from different formulas.
  4. Arrange your own winter BBQ under the covered terrace enjoying the view on the small villages and snow capped Appenine mountains in front of the garden. The 2 butchers in town of Costigliole d’Asti offer a nice variety of meat and local fresh produce. You can also book your very own private chef to cook the specialities of the region and have a restaurant experience without having to leave the holiday house!
  5. Visit the seaside in the medieval village of Noli or one of the other towns at the ligurian coast to get a fresh nose on the beach with only 1 hour driving.

Throughout the entire year and also during winter:

Hire a private chef: There are several private chefs and caterers that will come to Villa Perla and will make sure you can enjoy the perfect dining experience while you don’t have to leave the premises.
